Traditional Home Cooking
We pride ourselves on our freshly home-cooked, ‘no nonsense’ dishes, using locally grown or reared produce wherever possible. Our traditional pub classics menu changes twice yearly to reflect ‘Light Nights’ and ‘Dark Nights’. However we always have some variety on our ever changing Specials Board and Pie of the Week offering.
For those looking for something less substantial, we offer a great selection of sandwiches & paninis at lunchtimes, along with the chance to upsize our starters to light lunches and of course our ‘Young Persons Menu’ can be enjoyed at any age. We offer both vegetarian and vegan options and many of our dishes can be adapted to cater for allergy sufferers and other dietary requirements.

A Well-Stocked Cellar
We are passionate about the quality of our cask-conditioned ales, with a broad range of both local & regional breweries. We love to feature new and innovative styles of beer including un-fined & un-filtered, gluten free and a regular keg ale. These sit alongside the more classic English Bitters and New World Pales, where we strive to showcase different offerings from small independent breweries whenever we can.
We also dedicate one of our hand-pulls to guest farmhouse ciders from a range of producers in the South West of England. Whilst our sparkling draft cider is the well-crafted Stowford Press from Westons of Much Marcle in Herefordshire.
We are proud to work with the long established wine-merchants, Tanners of Shrewsbury with whom we have developed our wine list over a number of years. They help us bring you some interesting and unusual offerings from both the Old & New Worlds, most of which may be sampled by the glass or better still “buy the bottle!
