Annie and Rosie quite literally flew into location and now proudly sit adjacent to the pub enjoying amazing views across the glorious rolling hills of the Cotswolds.

Both huts offer comfortable accommodation for overnight guests and are complete with kitchens, bathrooms and patio areas.

The famous author, Laurie Lee who wrote Cider With Rosie lived locally and was a regular at the Butchers Arms. We have named our huts after his mother Annie and after the famous Rosie.

“Looking for somewhere local that was serving food on a Tuesday evening, The Butcher’s Arms fitted the bill. We received a warm welcome and great service. We both chose the pie of the week – steak in ale with horseradish. This was an excellent choice made with quality ingredients and was really filling. My Pimms was mixed perfectly and laden with strawberries, cucumber and mint. The Butcombe went down really well too! Overall, an excellent experience and somewhere we will both happily return.”

“Stopped by after visiting the food festival in Stroud. We had a couple of pints of cider and some of their sandwiches as we didn’t eat at the festival. Glorious sunshine, excellent customer service from the whole team, can’t wait to return!”

Traditional Pub with great bustling vibe

“Walking from the quiet peaceful countryside into this bustling friendly pub was such a joy. Staff were very attentive even though it was a busy Sat lunchtime. Clean toilets with toiletries available too, nice touch.
Good menu even for veggies. Entertainment….dogs taking their owners for a drink and meeting their pals.”

“This is our first visit this year and it was a delight. Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming. We both orderer roasts and they were delicious followed by homemade puds, 1 apple crumble and 1 sticky toffee pudding again delicious.
As we all know times are hard and to revisit such a wondeful pub with realistic and affordable prices for everyone is an absoute gem. We will return time and time again, please dont change its just perfectls.”
